FALL IN LOVE WITH GERSHWIN
The annual fundraising event for the Alabama Youth Ballet Company and Grebel Dance by the Alabama Youth Ballet Guild will have the traditional Valentine's Day theme this year. The event will be held on Sunday, February 14, from 2-5pm at the Grebel Center for Dance, 102 Commerce Parkway, Pelham, 35124.

AYBG Announces Dessertissements 2016 - FALL IN LOVE WITH GERSHWIN, Pelham, February 14, 2015: This Dessertissements, Gershwin-style/New York-esque, is the 8th annual event benefiting the *Alabama Youth Ballet Company, the performing wing of Grebel Center for Dance. Proceeds will go towards scholarships for deserving students of ballet, dance classes for those in financial need and for outreach programs which are presented for free. This event is sponsored and directed by the Alabama Youth Ballet Company AND Grebel Dance and will have the traditional Valentine's Day theme this year. It will be held on Sunday, February 14, from 2-5pm at the Grebel Center for Dance, 102 Commerce Parkway, Pelham, 35124. Haley Ingrum, BSC graduate and UAB graduate school student, former AYBC member and frequent guest artist, will be our guest emcee this year.
Guests will enjoy dancing, dessert and wine-tasting, while browsing the Silent Auction items and selecting Valentine gifts for their sweeties. A live jazz ensemble will keep you on your toes, make you smile and fall in love with their music. When the bidding closes, everyone will gather in Studio I for a performance by the outstanding Alabama Youth Ballet Company and Friends, which will be a preview of the spring dance performance of Grebel Goes Gershwin. Bids will be tallied during the show, and will be announced at the end of the performance. Door Prizes will be given and, a Children's Corner and Cake Walk will promise FUN for the kids!
Located at the foothills of beautiful Oak Mountain State Park, Grebel Center for Dance, has been a vital arts organization in Pelham and Shelby County for over 10 years. The address is 102 Commerce Parkway, Pelham 35124. You may call 205-987-7234 for tickets, or they may be obtained at Grebel Dance and from the Guild members, teachers, students and parents. Tickets are $30 per couple or $12 for singles. Children are welcome and are $10 for 12 and under. Children under 4 are Free. Of course, donations are accepted!
The Alabama Youth Ballet Guild is the support group for the *Alabama Youth Ballet Company which is a 501c3 not-for-profit arts organization recognized by the IRS, that believes the art of dance should be made available to all who desire to dance; and, as an art form will improve the quality of life in our community. It is dedicated to providing local dancers the opportunity to develop their talents in a professional and theatrical setting; working with dancers from around the world and build an appreciation of ballet arts through workshops and performances. All donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
